About this deal

While they will operate, doing this will cause accelerated deterioration of the batteries and will lead to them having a reduced battery life and eventually, an inability to hold a charge. Short range is OK, he only wanted them for using around the garden, which looking on google maps is about 350m long. I read a review that it doesn't translate overseas - well they are using it in the Paris suburbs and they have had no problems yet so it must be to do with the radio signals each country uses. I'd also suggest getting a pair with CTCSS, which to be basic is a method that allows communication between your lad and yourself to be private, providing both radio's are set the same.

I bought these walkie talkies as a fun summer present for my 9 and 10 year old children after they broke up from school last week and they haven’t stopped playing with them since! We find these Binatone 2 Way Radios really handy when we need to contact each other in case of emergency.

The Binatone Latitude 150 two way radio has a backlit display that lets you read the data easily, even in complete darkness.

By cranking the pump round like crazy you could feel the pipe on one side of the valve getting colder and on the other side getting hotter (and if you cranked it the other way then it worked the other way round). Additionally, it features a battery low indication system, alerting users when the battery level is running low, ensuring uninterrupted communication. I was loathed to get them mobile phones at such a young age, so this is a great way of keeping in touch when they are playing out near our house, I can keep one of the walkie talkies and they take the other and it gives me extra peace of mind. Have once heard someone elses voice through them as we must have picked up on someones signal, bit eery and funny. One thing it doesn't seem to mention in the manual - is it OK to leave them on the charger permanently?

Your OP has got me thinking about these now to keep in touch with the kids when they're off playing. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

If possible, swap the batteries from a working walkie talkie to determine if the problem lies with the batteries or the handset itself. The amperage output of the adapter is not forced and as such this adapter is safe to use on devices that require less amperage. My dad got them so he could keep in touch with my mum while he's out in the (quite sizeable) garden. The rechargeable battery and battery low indication feature offer convenience, while the belt clip ensures secure attachment for easy accessibility. You may have to change channels a few times to avoid picking up local mini-cabs but there are 10 channels so not a problem.
